I've worked on cars longer than most people on TR have been driving.

When designing, I usually make things lighter,
stronger, and cheaper...something I learned while racing Ducati motorcycles in high school. I also have raced go karts....quarter midgets.....stock cars.....sports cars.....rafts....sailboats....autocross cars.....as a kid, soap box derby....pinewood derby cars.....and most of the time I studied how things were designed and made and tested parts to make things work better...

God blessed me with a mind that thinks out of the box and analyses more than most people, and if there is a competitive advantage or a better way to do something, I will find it.

When I work on someone's car, the right bolts will
have anti-seize compound on them so they will come apart when they have to and the right bolts will be loctited so they don't come loose when they shouldn't. Lug nuts will be torqued by hand
instead of air impacted, so the rotors don't crack and you can still get the wheels off when you need to.....as only 2 examples.......

Years ago I worked on a guy's Honda, when he had little money. I treated his car well and respected him. Now that he has an establishment job and makes good money, he brings his BMW to me to have his suspension worked on.

The BMW suspension pieces alone, cost more than his entire Honda was worth back then. I feel complimented that I am the one he still trusts to work on his car.....
