Default Why you should balance your own motorcycle tires

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkO_LCEdknU

The rear drive assembly on a Harley Davidson is made of several rotating components, The brake rotor, the compensator sprocket, the bowl with rubber inserts, the rim and tire. By individually balancing each component during assembly and matching heavy side with light sides, fewer weights are needed. Most spin balance are not capable of mounting the sprocket and it is therefore not balance. As shown, the sprocket can be considerably out of balance. This video will show why it is important to balance the entire rotating assembly.
