Default will it work?

another quick question...

on a 2007 gsxr 600..

stock lenght 525 chain...wanna go -1/+2...anyone know if the sprockets will fit with the stock lenght chain? or will i need another length chain?

yes, i know replace them all at once...blah blah...but it's not an old chain, so why add the expense if it is really not needed at this time...

i just wanna know, will it fit, or will the chain be too tight to adjust...thanks

There was a website that had a chain/gearing calculator on it... Google it

myfirst thought is no, but if it does, be causious on the amount of slack you have , too tight of a chain will upset the geometry of the bike by not allowing the suspension to work properly

need tires (take offs)? PM me
need a deal on a track day? PM me

disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,

^how tight is ur chain? because -1/+2 would technicaly be 4 teeth...since the -1 on the front sprocket would equal 2 teeth on the rear..

it will work fine.. the front is smaller and the back is bigger, you end up just about the same as stock.

^right. b16sleeper, don't confuse torque with chain length. Going -1 in front is "like" adding two teeth to the rear...but think about it...you are loosing 1 tooth = smaller. You'll be fine....just be carefull yank'in it up these daze!

it would be a total of 5
-1 front is equal to 3+ in rear
plus 2 up in rear equals 5
