I will agree to that. I know exactly where i'm from lol.... i also don't fly the confederate flag everywhere i go like an idiot, nor do i wear it on my clothes lol.

Your assessment is right, I wont argue with you.

To me.... which i understand definitely wont include everyone.... when i see the confederate flag, i see the south, i see a simple way of life, trucks and mud holes, few large cities, that differ from New York, and Chicago. Down home country cooking which includes biscuits, and gravy loaded with sausage pieces. Old plantation homes, painted white, even though, i understand it was the slaves that made it possible for the plantation owner to live in those homes. And yes country music.

Like i said, to me, that's what it means.. Not hate...

• It needs to be said. The civil war was about states rights. The Federal govt wanted to count newly freed slaves as 3/5 of a man for representation purposes. When the south said we are seceding from the union and all federal laws are now null and void, The US govt sent troops. That started the civil war. Thousands died on both sides. The emancipation proclamation only freed slaves in the "states in rebellion" (the south) in hopes that former slaves would revolt and the south would lose the war sooner.

• Dr Martin Luther King was a republican and southern democrat governors were the ones who denied blacks the right to vote, southern democrat governors kept black kids out of schools, and southern democrat governors surely did not want blacks to keep and bear arms. The 14th amendment clarifies that blacks have the same rights as anyone else. It is amazing that today most blacks vote for democrats under the circumstances, and the flag of the Americans who fought for blacks to count as a whole man, is now called "rascist".
