05 raptor 350. blew away my brothers honda 400. needs work but i have most of the parts on order... just waiting for them. no title but have bill of sale from original owner. make me an offer.

make me a reasonable offer. problems were/are

1. broken headlight mount - epoxy back and seems fine
2. wont start unless stlonoid jumped with wire - bought new bar control, new harness, new starter solonoid.... and still nothing so i have a new relay in tomorrow that whould fix that
3. front tires are bald and wont hold air - ordered 2 new dunlap tires be here in 1 week
4.runs and shifts strong but bogged down, i was told it most likely had a aftermarket intake/exhaust and they put it beck to stock when i got it so it was running rich, i had the carbs rebuilt but need to be tuned.

I hate to call ya out neondriver,but I don't think a Rap350 can stay with a 400ex..They are night and day difference to me personally.

save your money and buy a 450 lol. you'll end up regretting the 400ex decision in the long run, TRUST ME.

I have owned two 400ex's and two Z400's...they do not have the power of the 450's but are over all Great Quads...I am going to be another 400ex/z400 soon for my kids..

for your kids, yeah sure why not.
but 450's handle better, more torque, wider & lower stance, more aggressive.
then again it also depends on your type/style of riding. MX, trails, dunes, etc. to be as fast as guys on a 450 you have to be a damn good rider on a 400.

lol i only weigh 130lbs i've riden 450's they are nice but i'm not looking to spend the cash for one. a 400 will do me good i have had 2 one of them had a 440 kit with a dry shot and all supporting mods. TTT i have 1000 cash in hand for a quad a little more if it is nice i don't need a title because i'm keeping it on my property and riding it on my property

I don't think you'll get a 400ex for that cheap bud, 1500 - 2 grand will get you a decent bike!
