Car runs and drives great its my DD,i re did the entire cooling system and some other maintenance.I have maintenance records from the original owner,im the 3rd owner i believe. You can find a tranny 300-500 but it really isnt a issue driving without 2nd believe it or not, doors 200-300...other than that great car

Thats exactly right. A beat to shit honda, thats going to be stolen days after you buy it, is worth a couple grand, regardless of miles, color, shape, etc. Your car although its clean, won't get more than $500 on here, I would bet. Its a 200k mile BMW with a bad transmission (although you say its ok, its a bad transmission). Your better off holding onto it.

Yeh,but under the hood and inside the car is mint, and driving it you would never know the mileage or that you cant go in 2nd gear, its no issue at all..so yes on paper these seem like issues but once seen and driven thats where the appreciation comes into play. This car will see 300k without a problem if maintenance is kept up.If someone was actually interested in this type of car they wouldn't offer $500,but since everyone hears bmws are nightmares to work on(which they are not at all really) and always need repair(only if you don't take care of it like anything else)..
I do believe there are some people on this forum that are aware of what it is they are interested in before looking for a trade or purchase and will offer something of equal value..some will just offer anything with no intentions on action..But i don't mind keeping the car at all either
I feel your initial comment was pointless

^ I work for BMW, and can tell you some ARE nightmares. Your particular model, is built like a tank, as long as you keep them maintained their bullet proof. BMW's generally are reliable, but if one does have an issue, it has every issue. Plus when something goes wrong, people assume the worst since the interior looks like a lit christmas tree. The ABS/tire/check engine/oil and other MISC. lights all light up one after another, making them look like they have more problems then they do. Regardless of what you feel, even if you got $2000 for it, theres not many running bikes you would get for that, if any.
