Jeffrey Earnhardt's next Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series start will be his biggest yet.
Circle Sport with The Motorsports Group announced on its Twitter page Earnhardt will run the Daytona 500 on Feb. 26 in the team's Chevrolet with sponsorship from Starter. It will not only be Earnhardt's first Daytona 500 but his first Cup start at Daytona. Earnhardt is guaranteed a spot in the race through the team's charter. The 27-year-old is the nephew of the sport's most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr.
In 24 previous Cup starts, Jeffrey Earnhardt earned a career-best 26th place at Charlotte last fall. He was driving for Archie St. Hilaire and Go Fas Racing, whom he made his Cup Series debut with at Richmond in September 2015. Earnhardt finished 40th in the event.
Three of Earnhardt's Cup starts occurred with BK Racing, including the 2016 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Earnhardt also has 76 starts between the Xfinity and Camping World Truck Series with one top-10 finish.
