Just heard that the new base commander at MacDill has cancelled this weekends autocross and possibly all future autocross events there. This absolutely sucks ass. Guess its time to start making the trek to Ft. Meyers and Gainesville.

Well this is the email I got from the coordinator at the BMW club.

Bill:
The activities for this weekend have been cancelled by the new base
commander. No word on when or if he will allow autocross activities to
occur in the future.
Joe

Hope this all gets worked out. I had my heart set on seeing a spinning Taylor and a supercharged lude. Oh well...

Yes. We can start bi weekly autocross. Is any one know places for autocross? If 10 people want autocross if renting fee is $400 its gonna be $40 each but you dont need to wait for long time. Do you have any idea?

iranman: Sorry but THIS weeks autocross is cancelled. I doulbe checked with the BMW hotline and its canceled.

taka: Good idea. The only thing though is if we do find a spot to autocross at we still have to rent cones and depending on location possibly restroom facilities as well. Might be easier just to make the trek to Ft. Meyers for autocrossing. Hmmm I wonder though perhaps Tampa Airport could work something out with us??

Well what about the SCCA event at Valencia CC?

PLUS its THIS sunday too. THe only problem is getting to the location and I doubt Im gonna be able to wake up early enough tomorrow morning to get there by 8:30-9. Anybody actually know how long itll take to get there with Sunday morning traffic?

If we get enough interest im pretty sure we can setup a nice TR caravan.
