Ive been on this board for a few months now and observed that there is far more activity on the import side than domestic side. So my question is this.... Why is the only guy here who autocrosses a guy who has a 3500 pound Buick? (me!!) I would have thought that with as many imports are there are on this board the autocrossing section would be a lot more active. In case anyone is interested goto: www.eec.com/racing.html
That is the site for the local SCCA. I highly recommend the events at Macdill AFB they are the largest (1.25 miles long) courses and are a blast to drive.

I occasionally auto-x my S2000. Right now Im in need of some tires so I havent been out in a while. If you know of some events post them here. I usually hear about them about 3 days after they finish.

Hey Bob87GN did you go to the scca autocross at macdill in april. There was a guy with a Buick GN Turbo. Was that you? I went to the march and april events but my RX-7 is in need of some serious work so I drive it as little as possible now. I beat it to death just about.

P.S. The courses were only 6/10ths of a mile according to my odometer.

Yep that was me at the April Macdill event. I have some video of it on www.bmcomputersource.com
Look under the racing team link. The inside cam is the best video. And about the length I got that from the coordinators I think it was Frank. It also was one of the longest courses Ive ran the average times were about 50 or so seconds. Ill post the autocrosses as I find them so we can all enjoy!

Hey Bob87GN are you the young guy or the old guy that was driving the GN? You were parked next to me when the other groups were running. I had the light blue RX-7 and I had my chihuahua with me do you recall?

Im the young guy the old guy is my father in law. Actually I remember you and your Dog and your car-- We worked the same station in the middle of the course!! It also rained earlier that day and we were lucky to be running second- so we didnt have a wet track! Actually at that race both my father in law and myself were driving my father in laws GN I hadnt bought mine yet I was still looking for one. Hows the car doing? If you want to meet my dog- I snapped some pics of him driving my GN...

Like the dog. My dogs love going in the car. One usually gets so excited from the wind in his face that he tries to jump out the window while I am driving. The Rx-7 isnt well. It died on friday. It is at the shop. Dont know what happened yet. So the only racing I have been doing is on my Dreamcast. Built a mitsubishi that runs 10.023 in the quarter mile though.
