CFR Solo (Autox) - 8/28-8/29
Is this a secret autox? How come nobody's talking it up?
Question for anyone who might know: I'd like to come to this one, and one of the main reasons I'd like to come is so that my son (age 13) can ride with me. Our insurance for SunRiders events specifically states that all riders must meet the same qualifications as drivers, so he can't ride there any more and he really misses it.
So, does CFR allow minor passengers (yeah, waivers, yadda yadda)? And would I need to "register" him to get him on the list to get past airport security?

yes. you'll have to register him on the list to get him in.
You'll have to have complete the waiver. And it must be signed by BOTH parents.
It's covered in detail here. First link covers the requirements for participating for minors (must be 12, completed waiver, yada yada). The second covers the requirement for the waiver to be signed by both parents.)

Thanks, dude. I can handle the waiverage, just wanted to be sure that he would indeed be permitted to ride before dragging him out there.
So, who's going?
And when's the Pre-reg cutoff?
Link to Pre-reg?
(yeah, I could look all that stuff up, but you might get a few more people to show up if you post that info here)

Yeah, I figured you could handle the waiver. You get the whole insurance thing.. Just make sure both parents sign it.
I just looked up the registration stuff. I'm not really in the loop these days since I have nothing to drive.

Leonard, FYI, the form you linked me to is not current. Here's the new one:

I munna try to be there. I'll probably only be able to make it on Sun, though. I hate not knowing until the last minute, especially now that more events seem to have pre-reg cut-off dates.

Why is prereg even an issue? All pre-registration for the Brooksville site does is get you on the list of people permitted through the gate. It costs nothing. There's no penalty for not showing up. If you're not sure, put your name on the list.
The grass will be handled.
The courses will be demanding, but chalk lined. Unfortunately every design looks like a giant slalom.
The weather will suck (reverse psychology sometimes works on Mother Nature).
I'll post links to the maps when they've been o.k.'d by the event chair.
Saturday's practice course:Here
Sunday's event course: Here
