Can minors with learners permits drive if the parental waivers are signed? I have a friend who wants to bring his 15 yr old son out.

I don't have a current rulebook, but as far as I can tell, in 2003, they'd be alright so long as they have a valid drivers license and the minor release waiver is completed. I'd suggest sending the Event Coordinator an email to confirm that.

I haven't heard that the rules have changed, SCCA rules used to be that a learner's permit or restricted license was fine as long as all of the restrictions on the license are met. (so, for a 15-year-old to drive in this state, they'd have to have an licensed adult driver with them)

FWIW, SunRiders insurance is different. Ours requires that all drivers be fully licensed to drive, no learners permits. I like the SCCA rules better.
