Here is some pics of the site, it looks nice from what I can tell. It also looks like Todd was there in January.

The site is o.k.

I can't give it a ringing endorsement, but there's little else going on until Brooksville. Runs are generally 45 to 65 seconds. The surface is pretty much a square of unsealed and fairly new asphalt. The grip is, say, medium. It can get "marbley". You'll only get 3 runs and maybe fun runs. The run/work order is bizzare, at best. The course is posted HERE.

The courses are usually a little hard to find. There is occassionally some confusion - well let's just say it: Sometimes the organization seems like a cluster-fuck. There are new event chairs for almost every time out and the course design gets passed around. Adam Breakey is doing this course this Sunday and it looks easier to follow than usual and not a Z0-6 course like you find at 50% of the Martin events.

The site facilities ARE nice for autocross. There is shade, permanant bathrooms, etc. There is also a concessions truck selling Gatorade/sodas/burgers/sausages/etc.

I'd say go. Football doesn't start up for a while...

Just to clarify, I don't think the club is a "C-F". It's just that sometimes things get started way late and there are huge delays...same as all our other local clubs .

I'll be there ice racing some dead Hoosiers.

For those who do not know, The Martin Sports Car Club is run by a bunch of engineers.

They have always been different.

Typically, the courses could be hard to follow, and in many cases did not flow.

Then there is there strange way of classifying cars.

I do not know if they still assess 3 seconds for penalties, but I do remember that one had to be a member of MSCC in order to work the course( in the 80's). If a cone moved 1mm out of place, a penalty was called in. I can remember that sometimes it would take 3 course workers to make the decision if a cone had been moved. Those of us who were not members believed that we were had penalites assesed that were bogus, That said, we were not there to "steal" their trophies or points, but were there to have fun and autocross.

So, go have some fun!
