It was actually fun to drive. Reminded me of my own car.
My first run was a 27.6 and then second was a 26.4+1.
I wish that second run was clean, might have been good for a top ten in the PRO class.
PRO index was around 25.5 on Saturday.
What were your times?

I ran a 27 something on Saturday morning, good enough for 7th in the pro class when I left at 11 am, probably good for 50th by the end of the weekend. The mazda 3 wasn't bad with the eibachs, but the the ones on the practice courses weren't that great.
I also test drove the mazdaspeed miata. I wasn't impressed. It needs another 50 hp.

When we left around 6:30 pm, I was in 9th overall.
I almost got kicked out of the event after driving the Mazdaspeed Miata. That thing is a piece of crap.

my times sucked, thanks to a lack of sleep. those mazda 3's are some nice little cars. a bit heavy with too much body roll, but nice.

Steve Brollier had a ~50 point lead, with a 758. I heard rumors of Mike King going Sunday, but baring that, I'm not sure anyone's going to touch Steve's score.

Mike king beat Steve Brollier time and Jesse you had 13th overall when I left today around 11:00. Danny Sheilds was 6th at that time as well.
I did not get any clean runs, one cone each lap. My best time was 28.547 plus 1 cone, which gave me a 30.547.
My wife came as well and she beat me with a 30.241 clean run.
I drove the automatic RX-8 with the shifters on the steering wheel, thought it was neat until I changed gears accidentally when shuffling the wheel.
I was also disappointed with the MazdaSpeed MX5, but liked the 6speed RX-8.
We both had a great time.

Jesse was down to 15th overall at the end of the day, I think Danny ended up 9th. My best time was a 27.6 with one cone...so a 29.6....it didn't really feel like a solid cone hit though, so it might not have been down and out for scca. They were being super strict on cone hits, mostly because 1/2 the cones were bolted down, so any slight cone hit was counted.
yeah considering it was on slick blacktop those tires held pretty damn good. i managed to pull a 27.8 in pro.hey did ne 1 else get shit from that carlose guy when he punched your card? i felt like asking him "do you know kimi rikkonen? why are u here?".but didnt fell like being a dick.
