i need a kicker 10" sub
I said fuk it, I decided im going to keep the teg after all, and if im going to keep it, i thought if im going to hold on to it, i might as well make it sound nice too.
i wanted to put one 10" kicker in there just for a nice kick to it. i was hoping to find a 10" kicker solabaric sub so that i can custom fit it into the rear seat since noone sits there anyway. the only problem i have is that i can't frickin find any and if i do i can't find a good price, someone with a hookup, help me out please. thanks chris |

Honestly, take a look at the triangle shaped bazooka sub in the tri-vent box. It's equivalent to a 10" sub and bumps pretty good with moderate power. You'd be surprised. I don't know why so many people seem to choose the solobaric sub, they really aren't very efficient at all. There are plenty of more efficient and cheaper subs out there that sound just as good and take up the same amount of space.

Damn, i haven't even thought about that before! I just went out and got a good deal on a solabaric today and bought it. Ive seen those tri shaped ones before but never looked into it. maybe later on i might get a triangle one to match the sqare i have now. it wouldn't be that great of a match though.

the sound waves are round fomr the source, ie sound disperses evenly all sides in unobstructed area. whihc is why a round sub (and speaker) is the most common design, becaus ein actuality it would produce a round wave the square subs have a good idea, for the spl side (in general more surface area).. but think of the wave coming off it like ropples fomr a pond if you will.. theres gonna be some wierd ripples.. triangluar sub.. maybe be good for spl, who knows.. but I couldnt stand the sound of it, the whole 3 sides tryaing to make one wave... everyone I've talked to (minus people who spent money on them) think it's rather dumb idea. what I was told... |

I've heard similar. I have one in my car with an MTX 200w amp to it. In the trunk, with the seats up, at 75% volume with the bass eq at -5 (as always) it gives me a surprising amount of sound in the vehicle and doesn't rattle the shit outta my car. I'm impressed.
