Default 07 silverado Stereo install.

It all started when I decided to build a custom center console in my 05 F150.

I sold that truck and got an 07 Silverado. I couldnt leave it stock for long so here is what I did to it...

Eminence mids and horns.
RF P2 12" subs
Phoenix gold amp for Bass
Sony Amp for mids and highs.

Here is a video.
YouTube - Loud bass system

I got tired of it and eventually took it out.

Now I want music again so here I go.

(4) Selenium 6" mids
(4) Eminence APT Tweeters
Sony Headunit
Legacy 10 band preamp EQ
Quantum 2160 amp for mids
Quantum 2260 amp for bass
Quantum Cozmik 15" 1000w RMS in custom built ported box. 3.46 cubes tuned to 30 HZ

I am building a custom fiberglass wall to put the mids and highs in.

I will update with pics as i go. let me know what you think.

Im not trying to hate, because from my small cell phone pics it looks like a pretty decent install, but you couldn't pay me to run a single one of those brands. What is your goal with it...i.e. have you ever ran good audio, or are you just trying to get as loud as you can for as little as you can?
That aside, while it isn't my style of install, I applaud your DIY skills...they are above most of what I see on here, and you're not even using t-shirts or old kitchen tables.

Thanks for the DIY comment. The setup is more of a show thing than anything else. I will have full audio up front also. It wont just be a wall blaring at me. It sounds very crisp also. I have never had problems with my equipment so I continue to use these brands. I am going to eventually go to mostly Quantum products. I am trying to pick up a sponsorship through them.

I agree with kpr10is. Your DIY fit and finish is nice and deserving of props. However, being a previous dealer of Quantum products, I have to tell you that they are on the lower end of the product lines out there. I have had my above-average share of returns on their amps and subs alike. Never problems with their mids/highs except that the quality of sound just was not there.

With all the effort you are putting into a quality looking setup, it is worthy of better equipment. At the very least, maybe some JBL GTO series or JL Audio TMA line. Just my 2 cents...

Well thank you. I am not sure on future plans. The sub I have now sounds great, and being in a box designed for it helps, I will run it till it breaks. I really wanna go with RE sx's
. I know Tommy Mckennie and He has had tons of luck with RE in his SPL truck. And I am trying the seleniums for the first time and they sound great, But in the future I might switch to Whips. For some reason I like the sound of a paper speaker.
