How to install a Line Level Converter?!?!

Anyone wanna help a knee grow out?!?!

My buddy has a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix w/o the Bose system (no factory amps), and is looking to install a system in his car. He bought the line level converter gimmick from "Axxess" - but has no idea how to install it

josh remove the radio and get some wire taps then install the 4 wire taps to the rear speaker wires if this is subs and then run all your wires to the amp and you will need to hook up the remote wire to the power antenna wire this will turn the amp on.Here are the colors you will need to find all are in the radio harness.

Power Antenna purple + radio harness
LR Speaker +/- brown / yellow +,- radio harness
RR Speaker +/- dk. blue / lt. blue +,- radio harness

hope this helps

really so the same wire sends an ignition to turn on the factory amp and puts up and down the power antenna atthe same time if that was the case the power antenna would stay up whenever the car is on which it doesnt it goes down when you are playing cds or the radio is off

oops, SOrry I didnt see the thread.

I have an 03 grand prix, you tap the rear 6x9s for the audio and tap the antenna amplifier under the rear deck for power. It is powered with the HU, not just the radio.

/\ True $tud!

Thanks big homey! He was stoked, and shitty that the Amp was a turd. But, we're scouring the TR Car Audio F/S Forum for some cheap 1200 watt ampage now, so hopefully he can be slamming some power through that thing by the end of this weekend!!!!!

Paul, you wanna install another one sometime this week for my fiance? She's got an '05 Mazda6 with the factory Bose system (amp, sub, etc)... I just hooked her up with a single Audiobahn 12" Sub (same as Charlie's from the Grand Prix) and a matching Audiobahn Amp (not sure of specs).

LMK mang!

-Josh
