anyone ever used one?
Ok, lets start off by me saying, Im not much into systems..
I just want to add my 10" woofer and a little amp into my stock system(nissan cd player, 2 6x9's and 2 6" mids) I was wondering if anyone has installed and used one of these things, I know its from walmart, but as I said. Im not into systems... I just want a little more bump to what I have... here is what I am looking at... Scosche Ford/JBL and GM/Bose Speaker Level Converter, FAI-3 - Wal-Mart |

I actually bought the amp for a box in my s10.. I had a HU amp and 4 10s... But i blew it up and sold the truck and most of the parts... I had an amp and 1 10" sub left so Im gonna throw it in my daily for some bump...

That extra wire is VERY misunderstood. Some vehicles need this ground somehow to send a clean signal through the speaker wires that the convertor can then use to output a low level to the rca's. You always just hook up the speaker level wires and rca's first, if everything works-leave the wires disconnected. We've installed hundreds of these of all different brands over the years and never had one that we had to hook up the ground wire(s) (some have two). We sell these made by DB link for like $10. They're cheap (price not quality).
