Not audio...Light problem...Help Please!!

Alright, so i get polled over 2 days ago at night for not having my running lights working....thankfully no ticket...

well the fuse blew for some reason and i tried today to figure out what was wrong,soo im thinkin maybe my trailer hitch box came undone and is grounding out a wire....nope... not that...pulled bulbs and checked them, all where good....it takes a 10 amp fuse so i tried bigger and went with a 12,15,20 then 30....all poped (except the 30) within 2 secs of the lights being on....when i turn on the lights all work but no running lights...when i press the break they turn on...my hazards turn on as well and so do my reverse light when i select all of them...... when i put the 30 in the low end of the top bulb(you know the top bulb that has a high and low light in it like a headlight bulb)lit up a little....i didnt want to run it for more than a few secs....anyways any ideas would help

check the wiring behind the radio, does your dimmer lights work?

you mean the gauge lights??? if so no they dont

i bet you have hooked up the gauge/dimmer light to ground behind the radio, it will test as ground until you turn lights on, try that and report back

this is a fairly simple troubleshoot even though i think gradeA has this one down, i feel its the same thing. Did you add any extra lights to any of your existing wiring? neons or foglights?

other than the new headlights, no he didnt....and last time i checked rob u didnt put the KC lightbar on either.....

cool. I dont see how the KC lightbar would do it either (unless he tapped directly into the line which would be retarded, and i know he isn't).

his running brake lights at night. Yeh you can get pulled over for that, you need to have them active at night and i believe in heavy rain/fog.

i believe i get what you are saying...but a little more detail would help me clear things up a bit.....if you are saying that the wiring for the radio is hardwired it isnt.....i used the smart harnesses from CCity and its all plug and play...if that help any....i could just be thinkin somthing different...

ok i made the jello shots 1 time while we where doing somthing....oh and if i get a new car its not gonna be a jeep.....i want a truck or a cop car

Get ready to get your crown vic smashed its headlights/taillights out, scratch up hood/glass, or get keyed.


Oh and the infamous "fuk da po-lis" written with chalk/spraypaint on your driveway.


I'd love a black or straight up cop crown vic just because they're like a tank and comfortable as hell.
