CD Player Repair...

Is anyone here able to fix a cd player face? I have a pioneer deh series cd player and my brother gave it back to me saying that the screen won't flip down anymore. It won't eject cd's or open to take any unless you fiddle around with it. Could anyone fix it?

Thanks,

Chris

if the unit still powers on its possibly a bad ribbin cable. repair is tedious but by no means skilled work. just order the ribbon and slowly take the case off to replace.

Call pioneer tech department and ask them if its a common problem etc, if it is, and the tech knows whats going on, he'll know what to do.

Well after doing searching I have read up and found out that this radio likes to go out after 1 year. I've ordered the "repair kit" for it so I have to wait for it to get here. Ive read up on how to do it so I'll let you know how it comes out.

Notladstyle, thanks for the help, the grandam forums had a lof of info to use.
