JL 12's W0's which amp to use?

i just recently purchased a set of jl 12's w0's in a sealed box. which is is best for my application? it will be going in the back of a ford explorer. any help is much apprciated

adero is an unknown quantity at this point: 44
depends on their ohm configuration. they're ptobably dual 4 ohm, so you could either use a 2 channel amp that does close to their rms power rating at 2 ohms for each channel, or an amp that will power them both at 1 ohm. You can probably over power these a little because i've heard the W0s handle it well, but i wouldn't throw too much power to them.

I don't know how many a "set" is but I'm assuming two.

I would go with a JL 250/1 amp and you'd be fine. A 500/1 will blow them. I know from experience.

BS. I've put a 500/1 on 2 w010's before without any issues. As long as you use the right box and tune the system properly, JL subs are very dependable. But I agree, you'd be fine with a 250/1 if that's all your budget will allow.

Eh, I dunno my 2 10W0s were good for a little while but the one ended up blowing out. Remember that's still twice their recommended power handling.
