After having my alarm for over a year now...

...someone set it off last nite. I have no idea who it was or when it happened as I did not hear my pager go off since it was on vibrate. All I know is it went off at full volume and there is a huge hand mark on the side window like someone has been looking in the glass, looks like I know what I am doing tonite (beefing it up)

I came out one day to a pair of hand marks on the window, like when you cup them around your eyes to see thru tint. I parked in the garage for the next couple days. Then my window got broken in ybor and they ripped the siren out from under my hood.

damn when did that happen?

I came out this morning to see a big hand print on my glass like someone was trying to hit it in with their fists or something. They had to hit it pretty hard for my alarm to go off full blast. All I know is my pager isnt going to be on silent anymore. Its going to be on full volume right on my nightstand. I dont know how I did not hear all 4 sirens in my house but I guess it scared them off when it went off or something because nothing was broken in.

That sucks that they ripped your siren out from under your hook, I got the hood lock so I dont think thats a problem. Today I went and bought a glass break sensor to complete it all

what did they end up stealing?

A long time ago. I was living in my first apartmnet, so fall 01-spring 02. I dont know what parking in the garage was going to do, since I couldnt park in it all the time I was home.

Yeah the honda hood thing is a common technique used by theives. You can pop the civic/teg hoods from the outside, since the hood release runs thru the drivers side fender, a pair of vicegrips and the hood is popped. then assuming the motion doesnt set off the alarm, or even if it does, a good 2 handed yank on the siren would pull it clean out, and make it a quiet car.

Nothing got stolen, strangley enough. I came out from the club and I saw my window all cubed up, and the tint was holding it together. they broke it Right at the window ledge. I dont know if somone saw them and chased them off or the cops did or what. Nothing missing, no police anywhere. Just I was out 60 bucks for the window, and whatever the tint was.

Another technique aside from the 4 sirens outside...Put 4 inside the car/truck... Nobody wants to steal anything out of a car with sirens goin off full blast in the interior.

Well.. considering that no company makes bullet proof glass for your car.. only high end luxo barges... itd be custom... probably end up being cheaper to buy a new car, and new equipment, instead of bulletproof windows
