Focal prices + new alpine subs

For the Utopia 165W's, 6.5" 2 way components, the Focal brochure says suggested retail $1099!!! I almost choked. What would be a non-played out brand of amazing speakers that wouldnt cost so much, or does anyone have any hook ups?

Also, who has heard about the Alpine Type X subwoofers and what do you think.

they arent in yet

the 53ndt from speakercity is 8 ohm so i am not using it they said a 2 week wait for them from peerless... I need to Get the 841939 tweeters.

http://www.madisound.com/peerless.html

http://www.d-s-t.com/peerless/data/841939.htm

i think that saying just means that they have any vc options for the smae prices i dunno, as long as mine is 4 ohm i'll be fine.

I just got my catalog in and I have the K2 Power 130CV's, but I heard some Utopia's the other day and they absolutely rocked.

I think mine will sound close enough if I had my door speakers in....lol
