Anybody attending GRM $2008 Challenge? I've always wanted to go, and it looks like this will be the year. Definitely won't be competing- I spent more than $2008 on just my brakes and suspension recently. :lol: As far as I can tell the fun stuff happens Fri Oct 3 and Sat Oct 4 and I plan to be there.

People are probably tired of hearing me say I'll be returning with my Fiero, now at just under $1,500. (I spent more money on the wheels for my MX-5.) It's held at the Gainesville drag strip starting Friday Oct 3. Totally worth going just to hang out. People love to talk about their cars.

Exercised the Fiero this weekend. Very happy with her, even after she broke. (now fixed.)

My car ALMOST qualifies.. If I were to pull out the rear discs I think id be a hair under budget. Lol.

Bah, I was planning to go with a friend and stay with my sister; the friend backed out and my sister decided to come back to Tampa for the weekend. Oh well, I was at the beach when it all fell apart so I just stayed there a few extra days... can't complain too much about that one :lol: .

Well I'm very happy. The Fiero came in 6th in the autocross, up from 10th place last year. Not bad.
The judges still hate my car. I think it was in the bottom 10 in the Judging last year, and bottom 13 this year. That might not actually be an improvement since there were more cars.
Well I say, go ahead and beat me in the subjective judging, but the track results say who has the better build. :)

Congratulations Mark! I was sure the Flux Capacitor would have impressed the judges. I was following on GRM. They have a picture of your car with the statement that the Fiero looked like the one to beat in Autocross.

Your Fiero was bad ass, i think you parked a couple of cars from us. We were the Hong Norr CRX's. Finally got to 1st. Great Job on the autox. Are you planing on going next year?
