94 Saturn SL2 F/S

My sisters old car. The transmission is going on it, but shifts smoothly know. Was told it has low hydraulic pressure. Its an A/T and the ODO stopped at 103k about a year or so ago. Could use a paint job.

Asking 700$obo. Car will run and be a great d/d especially with a transmission.

Thats what it looks like though. It's a Sedan. 4 cyl. Twin cam. The interior is pretty clean, front bumper is a little crack (sister got in like a 5mph fender "bender" but it just cracked it, didnt bend it, paint chipped off.). AC works as well, you will probably need another recharge, but it blows ice cold when recharged. I haven't driven it in about 2 weeks, but its just sitting at my secondary house.

Well I paid 150$ for a used AT Valve Body and it worked fine, got a new gasket but I tightened it too hard, then it leaked fluid. Car would get stuck in gear all the time. Took it to a transmission shop and it shifts fine now, but we were told it had low hydraulic pressure. Other than that the engine is fine.

so it still runs and drives fine and the trans doesnt stick? is the leak situation handled?

Tranny worked when I let it sit there. It has low hydraulic pressure so I really cant say WHEN it will go. You can find them cheap as hell though on the internet and they cant be too hard to install, they are very small haha.

well you post like someone on saturnfans. you are all over the place with this tranny problem...

here i will make it simple for you. have you fixed the tranny or not. because it sure sounds like you haven't fixed anything.

either way $700 for a 94 saturn with a tranny problem is too much. the automatics in the s series are prone to problems. the only smart thing someone should do with this car is swap out the autotragic for a manual but even then you are looking at a few hundred.

i bought my 95 sl1 with just a smoking engine for $400 with 130k on the odometer. but hey what do i know about saturns.

I'm open to offers, and think I clearly stated that in the beginning of the thread. Do you all not know what "OBO" means. The car does not smoke. I said what problems the car had, and also that it does shit at the current moment into every gear. This is not my car, and I'm in no rush to sell it. It's my sisters and she could use some extra money for her new car so she's just wanting to sell this. I dont know what you want me to tell you, haha. I can buy a 5spd transmission for my 300zx for less than 300$, and 300zx shit is not cheap. Saturn... come on? I bet you could do the whole swap for 300$ if that and have a great D/D. Most Saturns smoke because the piston rings fry due to the oil not being changed. Not the case with this car. Thanks.

actually most saturns smoke due to a design flaw with the pistons. there is no oil relief casted into the pistons so oil sits in the last ring landing and gets burnt and ends up caking that ring up. the solution for this is to drill 4 3/16 holes in the last ring landing and put new rings in...just an fyi...

if you where to go and pull your own 5 speed from lkq it would cost you 75 dollars plus core/ about 40 for the pedal assembly/20 for the hydraulic master,slave system/used flywheel 20 dollars/ maybe about 30 dollars for a used stock clutch/30 for the shifter/20 for the used cables/and 25 for the center manual console. i might be missing some stuff not to mention the time needed to do this all.

but like i said before. what do i know about saturns. i have only rebuilt them maybe 7-8 times and i raced them for ohhh 7 years.

K like I said its not my car. I'd say my sister would be very lenient with the price. we kinda just want it gone.
