ill be getting 2 3000d amps and will need to buy 4 different 12's. i know i wont do a true "6000wrms" but any idea on what 4 subs would be good for this amp set up? i guess i need to figure out if im going to strap the amps or run 2 subs per amp first? each amp will be 1 ohm stable also. any help would be great- thnx. oh im looking for spl not sq.

Which brand is your 3000d, I know of three brands off the top of my head with that model # and they are all different in there true RMS output.
I know we have been running the RE Audio Subs hard and they can put out some serious SPL, but it depends greatly onwhich amp as to which series of RE is gonna be the best fit that I would recomend.
Also $ is a factor also, if you have the money to spend then go for it big if not then there are some other avenues to go which can keep you very competitive in the SPL market but are much less expensive.

For $1200 on 4 subs alone you can get some pretty nice subs that will be capable of doing some serious SPL

If you put in 4 Kicker Solobaric L7's, you will be under $1000 and you won't know what to do with all the bass. I promise you that.
I agree that RE's work well also. Depending on the box though, we have also pushed the Memphis MOJO's really hard and they take 1000wrms a piece (the last setup we did we used the customer's JL1000.1 amps-one amp per sub in a blow thru, it is ridiculous). Memphis will be a little more than the Kickers in some cases.
As far as the three you picked out originally, if you are dead set on going with any of them (even though we sell all those brands I don't really suggest any of their subs), you won't be spending anywhere near $1200 unless you pay full retail or whatever. Any of those subs are under $100 a piece at any reputable shop or the internet and they aren't really 1000 watt subs (no matter what they print on the box)! Just my two worthless cents anyway....

powerbass or power acoustik are the amp brands iv been looking at. i have no idea what subs im looking into buying. i know the amps are not the best ever but im sure they will get the job done. the only reason i dont wanna use solo's is id like to keep my box. i love the dc audio subs, and fi audio, but really iv never really looked into higher end subs until now-

Uhhh no kicker please super over priced fot what they do

I'll agree to disagree. Even though we sell many other brands (as I am sure you do), when a customer walks through the door, and hears what a Kicker Solobaric 12" L7 in a vented box puts out for $250 compared to others that are both more and less expensive, and with no impartialness on our side, 9 out of 10 times, the Kicker is the one that sells.
Love em' or hate em', they do provide allot of bang for the buck comparatively. Kicker spends a ton on name recognition, their warranty return level is below average, and the price is right.
The proof is "in the pudding", even though many won't admit it here, besides window tint, the most emails/calls/sales that I get from TR members are Kicker subwoofers. People just like them. I don't know...

^ agree more or less, the old kickers subs i didn't like but the new L7's i'm a fan of. the bang for buck on them is pretty good and they don't need all that huge of a box.
that being said i run full rainbow in the car now not bang for the buck (but for me it was :-D )

I won't argue that-Rainbow is definately good quality equipment. But when that name/price is shown/mentioned to the average customer, you get looked at like a third eye just popped out of your head...

I ran 4 12'' Audiopipe Eye candys...Subs are rated at 1600Peak/800RMS...I thru a 5000 watt Earthquake amp, which supposively did 3000 RMS @ 2 ohm,and my Yukon was extremely loud..The walmart db meter was reading 153-156dB,so id guess a high 140 out of them.

mcor that is the complete opposite of what happens over here it is allways the kid that has no intention of spending any money that comes in ans ask " u got kicker " probably because they spend so much money on name recognition.not to say that kicker is bad equipment, but threre are so many other brands on the market that will give u the same bang for less buck. being a younger shop that is growing fast ive been happier (to my surprise ) with lesser exspensive brands ie the audio pipe txx ,soundstream rw series and the db drive platnum line but whatever works for you
