That is a high speed downhill kink right, into a near 90 right where the camber falls off and the pavement drops even further.. the scary thing is he was not going as fast as he could have been down there. there is a perfect example of brain fade. you can see him trying to slow the car down, but instead of driving off the track into the HUGE sand pit at the end of that downhill, he thought "I can make this turn with an extra 30 MPH" after missing the braking zone and turning about 40 feet too late.

one sure way to make a spectacular wreck is to pitch the car sideways before going off-track.

yea, the brakes went out on him ;) you can honestly say you'd rather be going ~130mph straight into the sand pit knowing you're gonna hit the wall head on? even when you to basically straight off you're gonna catch some air and likely to dig into the sand. this guy just got lucky.
