Anyone know of any local shops that have the pre fab kick panels for the Hummer H2?

I don't believe there is any mass manufacturer of H2 kicks. However, the closest thing I know of are premade fiberglass enclosures for subs-click link below:

GM / GMC (http://www.bassforms.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=14)

Or, you can use these universals to bolt 6.5" drivers to the kicks (they also make a good start to be fiberglassed into the existing kicks-cuts fabrication time IMMENSLEY!):

Q-Logic actually does make H2 prefabs. Part # QL-K1015 I think.
Now to the real question, what is your goal in adding kicks? Better staging/imaging, or to have another location for more speakers? Often the Q-logic kicks aren't shaped so much for the best sound, but for the easiest fit. Looking at the pic of the Q-logic for the H2, I'd say thats absolutely the case with these. They're also typically very weak and flimsy. I'd say unless you're ONLY interested in adding more speakers and not as interested in the overall quality, these may not be the best option.
A good set of custom kicks will cost you at least 2-3 times the 200$$ that the Q's cost, but the overall quality would be worlds better. When I do kicks for SQ purposes I normally spend at least 1/2 day mocking up different placements all around the kick then test with my RTA and with listening tests.
An H2 is a difficult vehicle to get good staging and imaging in due to the straight up sitting position and short dash. It is possible, but it's one of the harder vehicles to do. In reality the OEM door and A-pillar locations in the H2 lend to pretty good sound with the right speakers and amplification.

Yes, the few Q-Logic prefab items we have installed in the past never seemed worth the money. They have always rattled, needed extra mounting help, and speakers were always aimed funny. Plus, with these particular ones, who would want tweet seperates mounted on the floor? I bet these sound pretty crappy.

And yes, the H2 is not fun to get good imaging in. These things are shaped like a box and every available space has some funky curve or bolt or useless other trim piece preventing easy mounting (not to mention clean). We just got to the point (as mentioned above) where we use components in doors and A -pillars but we ALWAYS sell a good active 4-6 channel crossover. We have found this a relatively inexpensive way to set up a good sounding system in these boxes!

All the Q-forms I've used have the tweeter at a goofy angle, and it makes them all but useless. Having them in the kick is overall a good thing for path length, but thats negated when you aim the tweeter right into the dash, or a leg, or some other stupid direction. Most of the time I have to add a second set of tweets in a more useful location and knock the level on the ones in the Q's waaaaaay down.
A couple weeks ago we did an H2 with JBL GTi comps all around in OEM locations on his existing JL amps, and it sounded pretty dang great. It wont ever get to true SQ vehicle quality, but it can be made to sound nice.

So the best thing to do is get a good set of components for the stock location? What would you say would be the best choice?

My personal suggestion is yes, use good components in the OEM locations with good amplification behind them. As far as the best choice you'd really have to narrow down somewhat of a budget. I sell a ton of Memphis products because they sound great, aren't incredibly expensive, and they offer the absolute best customer service in the industry. Their component sets range from 150-400. I've also been very happy with the JBL GTi comps I mentioned earlier in the thread, but they're a little more pricey.

components I'm a fan of rainbow audio. I had mine paired with a rainbow ipaul amp sounded amazing

All of the above mentioned components are good-I agree completely. However, we have done quite a few with the JBL GTi's in the stock locations and I can say from experience that they come out really good. I am sure the others would sound great also (pretty much just comes down to name preference when you are at that price point). Stick with any of the above and you will have no problems!
