Motor question

What motors can be dropped into a 92 silverado, ive found a 350 outa a van for cheap but wanna make sure itll bolt up and work with the efi

u should have a 305 or 350 in it.

but any sbc or bbc will fit into that truck even 4.3 v6 say out of a grand national

grand nationals had a 3.8 turbo v6, syclone and typhoon had the 4.3 turbo. but a turbo 6 isnt optimal for a heavy truck. is the truck ext cab or single cab short bed. bc if it is that a turbo 6 can work in it since its not that heavy. but any SBC from 283-400 will slide right into there and same goes for a BBC. the choice is yours. if it had a V6 from the factory you need to unbolt the motor mounts on the frame and bolt them into the V8 position. HTH

it had a v-8 5.7 from the factory, thanks guys, youll be seein more posts from me as i try to reassemble this thing lol

i use to dick around with the silverados... fun trucks when you get a nice motor and suspension in them. this is what i recently sold about a year ago...

yea the one i got has the mark 3 conversion, i jus need to finish dropping the ass end and get a new rollpan for it
