View Full Version : Genium Performance Does Fbody Weld install
Simply put; Dave is an outstanding mechanic and business man!
He hooked me up with a great deal and his work was fast and spot on. A lot of you guys think of Genium as a Ford shop but he does excellent work on gm's as well!
I am taking my shit to Dave from now on.

Ya we all know installin Welds isnt a hard job. But what we actually did was install extended studs on all 4 wheels and made some modification to the rear brakes to make the rims he brought me fit (still a fairly simple job)
I beleive he is more tryin to spread the word about my customer service and my attention to detail. Even with him bringing me the incorrect parts which slowed me up and and threw a curve ball in my scheduling for the day I didnt bitch once about it (nor did I charge him any more money)...we just worked around it as needed.
Plus he is aware of a story about nitrous refills that shows I stand behind all my work/parts. A couple weeks ago I had some people complain that the bottles I filled for them didnt hit. Turns out they where all filled from the same mother bottle so the gas company gave me a bad mother bottle. Without any questions everyone who got a bad fill got a free fill on the house!
With all these other shops in this area which seem to have customers complaining about scams, theft, shitty work, damage to their vehicles etc. People on the street are startin to ball all performance shops into one catagory "scam shops" and the general public is loosing trust in them.
He is tryin to show that there are still honest shops out there and that we are one of them. We stand behind everything that comes in and out of this shop and ever car is treated as if it was are own. Trying to put that trust factor about performance shops back into peoples mind. Its time that we put these scam shops outta business and really start to show people which shops are true and honest.
Look at all the shit that has surfaced about Revx bullshit. And trust me there are others but in respect I will keep my mouth shut untill someone makes it public. I put the Revx name up due to over on Mafia it has been made public by many about their scams. I am not sayin everyone that gets work done at a shop is gonna be happy but when you have 20 or more people coming forward about shitty work at a certain shop its not acceptable. I am not sayin all shops out there are bad. I have no problem with loosing work to a good reputible shop, but when I loose a customer to a "scam shop" because they where mybe cheaper then me I have a problem with that. When I tell a customer something is gonna cost 2000 dollars with all new parts and they tell me the shop down the street will do it for 1000 with all new parts. I tell them "the parts alone cost over a 1000, thats your first red flag there, you have to start asking you self are the parts you paying for really whats going in the car?" I had a guy (name and shop will be left out) in here just the other day talkin about that. His friend paid for a certain part, something broke and when they took the motor apart it was a used part and not even the one he paid for or told them to install!
GRez and I talked about this kinda stuff the other day so I feel I have voiced his opinion for him. Feel free to add or deny my post GRez.
^what he said. Dave really impressed me with how cool-headedly he approached the situation and how he was more about getting it done and done right than other shops that might have just tried to get me in and out and hey its my fault if I brought the wrong parts. Not only did he get me in later that day, but he also found me the right parts to fix my screwup! Dave made sure it was done right and that is why for all the stuff that I dont have the tools to do myself or the time/space my car will be brought to Genium.
I also want to be clear that Dave has in no way compensated me for putting this out there, I am just truly impressed and want to let people know about a shop they can trust.

ohh like i said i wasn't saying anything about your shop. i have actually only heard good stuff about your shop.
i was wanting to know what he had done. it just seems pointless to me to take a car to a shop to install rims and tires since it is such a simple thing to do.. yes of course most of us don't have a tire mounting machine but other than that...
i just thought he must have had other work done.

No offense was ever takin. Just explaining the story lol. Thanks for the good words BTW.
The main reason he did it was for the studs to be installed. You have to admit putting studs in by hand can be done but takes a little bit more effort. Studs being pressed in by a press or using air tools makes the process much faster.

I have used a few shops in the area and never have i been treated as well as genium. And I have seen him work on many different types of cars and parts. I no longer need to go anywhere else. He is trustworthy and honest. We need to do a BBQ meet and greet so some other folks can find a trustworthy, sober, and non criminal shop owner/operator.
And get a dyno and a pool in the back!

^^ that 2nd lift is top priority before the dyno
And the pool would be fuckin sweat on these hot summer days to kool off. I can see it now GP dyno day, cook out, and pool part all in one!

i guess i never think about it that way since i have air tools/car lift/ and a press at the house. i usually just side some washers over the stud and use the impact to pull the stud through. hahaha
either way no problem on the rep. i personally go to transmission physician for the few things i can't do myself and advise, but if you keep doing more f-body stuff i would probablly use you as my back up shop.
it is so hard to find good people to deal with. hell i gave fernando about 100 questions before i decided he was going to be the one working on my car.
just be prepared for lots of questions if i ever show up at your shop. hahahaha

I have no problem answering questions and helpin you all out. Plus I am not one of those asshat mechanics who think they know everything. No mechanic knows everything, if they tell you they do they are lying! I know people who have been turning wrenchs for 40+ years and they still learn new shit everday.
I am not afraid to tell you "I am not shure of the answer, but I bet I know who can answer that question for you" Thats alot better than giving you some BS answer that ends up making me look stupid cause its completly wrong. So ask away when your ready lol.

^^ Thank you.
It takes a bigger man to admit he doesnt know something than to straight lie about it and look like he knows it all only to turn around and look stupid when someone proves him wrong.
