The Twanksta Detailed: 2004 Honda S2000

A friend of mine noticed how swirl-free my car was and just had to have his done. We started this detail at 8AM and he didnt leave until 10PM :crack: The car at first glance looked pretty good, but once we washed it down you could see lots of swirls and marring. Keep in mind this car has nearly 90k on it and is an 04'!

Normally most people have said that you don't even need the last step of polish(final finish) but I have done some reading/research and it seems that on "flat" black cars it really makes the shine much deeper. It is a very very light polish, what pad would you reccommend?

Well I would say a #20 or #21 is always a must if you have no swirls or just swirl removed a car. Depending upon how deep the swirls are I like using a swirl remover / light polish mix blend with 1:1

I seen you say you used two coats of wax, bad idea.

I'll tell you why;; Claybar, swirl remove, polish, sealent, wax; done.

Pads I'd say the black pad works decent for buffing in, I'd assume thats what you were doing for final buffing grab your green L7 MF and buff it with that, but you really don't even need to.

Only reason for second coat was bc the customer asked for it. We gave it overnight atleast to set in for the second layer. Also the wax I use likes to be layered, you apply it thin in many layers for best results. And yeah the blue pad was just to buff in the product, not really to "fix" anything.
