I hear ya, man. I've been quite the track ho' this year, myself. About May, I realized that I hadn't been to the track in over 6 months. So, I went and did One Lap. Since then, I've done Sebring and LeMons at CMP. I have Sebring scheduled for Sept 5-7. Working on another LeMons race the weeke after that. And we're doing the Southern Sprint in mid-October!
Racing is addictive.

what are you taking to Sebring? Yaris?

Yeah, gotta log some Sebring miles on the Yaris. I'm mainly going to gain some additional instructor experience and to help with the practice day that we arranged for the Southern Sprint. (that's Sunday) But, I'll get some time out there. If that gets old, I'll borrow Jeff's Sentra or talk my way into a Miata on Sunday. :)
But, aside from less-than-stellar acceleration, the Yaris is actually fun on the track!

funny, my black z is just the opposite, stellar accel, crappy brakes. i`ll have to fix that....

I can help you with that... depending on your wheels Nissan is the cats ass when it comes to bolting brakes on other models. the fact that they made the sentra 4x114.3 with brembo's completed the circle.. they fit on EVERYTHING!

Haha, all the parts I bought to get ready for the ERS track day are still sitting in my car uninstalled. I've only gotten my solid rear subframe bushings installed and everything else is just sitting there. My motivation to get everything done quickly died when the date moved and I had to cancel. The worst part is that the right rear caliper locked up and I can't drive the car while I have an entire brand new braking system in the car that I've been too lazy to install. I've already had to skip two Brooksville SCCA events and get event credit for a FAST event. I'm jonesing for some racing and upset about the car being down, but then I remember that it's entirely my fault it isn't fixed yet.

Which master are you planning on- one of the Z32 masters? If you're still running the stock rears you may be better off with a different master than you might think. I've got a set of Z32 aluminum caliper/30mm brakes for the front and stock 240 calipers on rear, but with 85 nonturbo Z brackets and 11.5" q45 rotors to help get the F/R bias back closer to stock and get a bit more heat capacity. I wanted a bigger master for feel and modulation; I looked around and found that the Z32 master and a lot of the z31 masters actually changed the split point in such a way that the bias was effectively moved frontward after you've already moved bias frontward with the bigger calipers up front. I ended up getting an 85 nonturbo Z master because it had the same split point as the 240- depending on how your bias is doing right now you might benefit from that master over a Z32 with lower split point. With the same calipers as I have up front it all depends on where your bias is now because I think you may have bigger rear pistons/ larger rear rotors. I'd look into this with a few searches on freshalloy. There's a formula you can plug your front and rear caliper and rotor sizes into to get an "inherent brake bias" and then figure out from there how the different masters with different split points would affect your bias.

hum, good info. i`m taking the usage of z32 masta from z31performance and trusting in what has already been tried, ie I have a z31 master on the car now = poop brakes and there are quite a few z31 people who have done the swap. z32 is supposed to fix it right up. but i`ll take a look at the brake bias formula also. thx

brake bias thread (http://forums.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=94734)
this thread has a bit of z-relevant info including rear z31 rotor sizes and rear z31 piston size (http://forums.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=178306&highlight=z31+master)
some info on split points, had a thread with a more complete list but can't find it (http://forums.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=179467&highlight=z31+master)
That stuff is mostly 240 info as it's on a 240 board but there's Z info mixed in since we're all mixing and matching parts. You can take the general formulas and concepts and run with them using info from your FSM and z31 message boards.

I'm sad lemons is over :(
It was my annual budget for tracking rolled into one. At least we took it out to Sebring for some testing and I have some great new safety equipment.
Now I can't afford to track my own car for the rest of the year. Oh well, lemons was worth it (1 Auto-x test, Sebring Test, CMP Friday Test, and Race). I'm jealous of Loren going to Detroit. That is going to kick ass.
