im thinking about building a 383 stroker, there are just a few things i need to know. first, can they be built to be reliable if using forged parts b/c i have heard that they don't last very long. second, are there some kind of special heads that i would need because the stroke is lengthened, and third is i possible to put a cam in a stroker if timed correctly and not have any issues with valve clearance. any help would be great, thanks.

i'm not a chevy guy.
1 yes
2 no, but you'll want aftermarket heads that flow well. if you want to make a hi hp motor
3 when you order your forged pistons, you have to give them the info so they can make your pistons so they don't hit. but you still need the check valve clearance, in case they messed up.
