Once I get my '81 Volvo 242 turbo wired up and running, I'll take the trip from Port Richey down to you to get it welded.
It's a .63 a/r T3 housing. I need a 3'' v-band flange welded to it.
I will be using ATP Turbo's 4'' Modular Downpipe with 3'' v-band flange.

If it can be done in a matter of hours, i'll drive the car there with stock exhaust and dp and take the turbo off (only takes 10 minutes) and give it to you. You guys can throw away my stock dp and exhast system, right?

Anyways... How much are we looking at?

$50 for the v-band welding if its a 4-bolt. 5-bolts are $75 if i have to make a patch for the internal wastegate port. did you need a flange or do you have it already? takes rougly a half an hour. call before you come so we can make sure to have time when you get here.

It's a 5-bolt. So I won't be able to be internally gated anymore?
If I can't use the internal gate anymore, I'll have you make me a log mani with external gate provision. How much would you ask for that? I have a few flanges, since my Volvo isn't exactly something you've worked with much. Do you need a new flange or one cut from an existing manifold? I can get you a new stainless flange if you need. I'll need the log to support at least 400whp. You'll have the car for the day.
Is that reasonably done in one day? My girl and I can find somthing to do if so.

I appreciate it, mike. Thanks for all your help.

log manifold is $400 if you have your own flange. thats stainless with mild flanges.

did you need a downpipe, waste gate and/or dump tube?

i would prefer to have the car more then one day. also any work besides fabricating the manifold would be extra (taking off old stuff and putting new stuff on).

do you have pictures of the setup?

Ok. You can have the car for more than a day.
I have an ATP turbo modular 4'' dp with 3'' vband, so i'll run open DP home until I can get my 4'' pipes in from summit.
I don't need a downpipe or external gate, since I have my own.

So what I'll need to get from you is:
-BIG log mani with External WG flange
-Vband turbine housing welding for 5-bolt housing
-WG dump tube to dp
I will provide the external WG, head flange, and downpipe. I have a new exhaust gasket also.

Sorry for the bad quality... That was 6 months ago about 3 weeks after I towed it home.

I can disassemble/reassemble everything if it'll save me labor, if you don't mind. It takes me less than 10 minutes to get my turbo and manifold out of the car as it is.

Thanks, Mike.

alright, so you want the dump tube routed into the downpipe?

usually dump tubes are $75~$125 for open air dumps, however re-routes are a little more expensive because it requires more work obviously. i can do it for $150.

this would put you to

$400 - manifold (2" weld els. i usually use 1.5")
$150 - dump tube
$75 - v-band turbine welding
$80 - general labor (thats an hour for misc. it may be less depending you what you want us to do. if all i'm doing is building and not bolting stuff on permanently they you would be charged anything extra).

hope this makes sense.
