Does the surface you are drifting on effect your style?

How you initiate, maintain, and control.

I personally have never had an extended session on blacktop. Most of my time is spent on shitty asphalt/crete. So it cuts down on the length and angle. This eats the fuck out of tires, but I have yet to find a nice blacktop "track"..... I would imagine it would be a hell of alot easier to maintain on a smoother surface.

Yawn.

i know loose gravel is easy to slide on but tears the living shit out of your tires. i like smooth black road the most

idk i never done it on the smooth black roads but i would think the the drifts would have more angle and smoke, at the same time i would think the surface is so smooth that you loose a lil front traction?... imma go find out

yeah a lil bit on the front traction loss.

Absolutely important.

More grip = go faster

Less grip = lighter on the throttle

^ werd. i like when i can just mash the hell out of the gas on a grippy smooth corner, keeping it sideways the whole time...

but using throttle control on a slippery slow corner is fun too

a lot more smoke and noiseon the blacktop, if its straight assphalt. if the asphalt was recently covered in tar then its nice and slippery like.
