Preliminary Information On Our Next Track Event / #12

I have confirmed our next two TRack Events with Bradenton Motorsports Park.

The next TRack Event ( #12) will be Saturday, October 29th from 4:00 - 9:00 pm.

The one after that will not be announced until after the October event but lets just say the weather will be good for that one too.

Yes, this is a long delay between events but very hot / rainy weather and the possibility of cancellations made us decide to skip the summer events and step up the winter / spring events.

Some things are going to change for this and future events. Some are new ideas others are the ways I liked to do them before some changes were made.

(Please read all of this before PM'ing me any questions.)


1. All future TRack Events will be pre-pay only and no refunds will be given within a week of the event unless TR, the track, or weather cancels it. Payments will be done via. Paypal or mail only. I prefer Paypal for accounting reasons.

We are doing this because of the large amount of people that have been signing up and then do not show which in turn makes a lot of other people waiting on stand-by for spots angry. Plus it also creates some other problems for TR. When I had past events that were pre-pay only everyone showed and the whole event ran smoother for everyone.

I will make a announcement a month or so before the event to let everyone know how and where to make payment. After payments start coming in I will post a PAID list.

2. 100 cars maximum. While I have experimented with the total amount several times it seems like 100 is the magic number to keep lines very small and in many cases no lines at all which is why we started these events to begin with. We had some major slow downs at the last two events but this was more to do with several oil downs on the track than anything else but none the less dropping from 115-120 cars is going to be better for the participants.


3. All of the announcements for this event and future events will be handled through TR only. I am not going to advertise / announce through other sites / clubs / boards anymore for several reasons. Mostly because I have better quality control when it is solely through TR plus it is less boards for me to monitor. As usual anyone is welcomed to attend whether they are a member of TR or not.

Given the huge demand and following we have had for our TRack Events we feel these changes will benefit everyone but especially the die hard drag racers that really want to go and try to accomplish something and want minimal wait time.

If you have any suggestions / comments please feel free to post them here so everyone can get in on the discussion.

I will make another announcement when we are about a month away from the event to remind everyone.

has anyone thought about breaking the event into classes? like fastest 4cyl, v8, power adder, etc etc like NOPI or something...also, I'm thinking grudge matches should be announced and played up here on TR and over the PA system @ the actual event to bring some type of suspense to the event. I mean don't get me wrong, its a great event either way but after a while it just gets a little boring watching people go down the track over and over again without any type of payoff. Rewards would be nice too for the winners of each class, like a special signature signifying their victory @ the event or something similar.

Honestly Scott I miss the daytime track events.... but only when it's cool outside.

It would be fun but the few times we have tried it all the people that cried for it to happen never materialize when it is go time.

There are plenty of big grudge matches in the works that I am sure will play out at this event and hopefully not sooner. :evil2:

And yes I like the daytime events too but it is hard to get people there because of work and the track is much busier now than it was a few years ago so day events are very hard to get.

just put everyone who signs up into a class accordingly. the more I think of it, the more a system like this makes sense. It gives everyone a goal rather then just showing up to run just to run. Yes that's fun...but where's the competition in just having test tune with TR's logo on it?

Maybe split the sign up sheet into catagories. Not run the the event in catagories, I like the T&T theme now, but say first 20 drag type cars/bikes, 20 bikes, 20 Pro street type cars, and 40 street cars. That way there is a big spread on the type of vehicles there. If there are only 10 dragtypes that sign up then overflow one of the other catagories. I like to watch a variety of vehicles go down. And I will definitely be watching for the sign up sheet, gotta get the scoot back out there, hopefully painted and looking to put a 7 on the board. :naughty:

There are plenty of civic's that will walk STi's all day! and this is true the other way around as well. It's not about who has the faster car stock, it about who has more money.
