Well, I retorqued the headstuds lastnight with Wizalter's assistance and only one shifted at all. Thanks ARP. :D
I had to swing by work (on call) at around 1:30am and I was on my way to my g/f's house and was cruising on 580 by the Countryside mall.
This white MR2 turbo gets beside me and shifts thus making his loud as hell BOV go off. His window was down and so I quized him about the car. He said it was running all stock parts / boost except the BOV and an air filter.
Now, this was the first real time for the teg to race since the blowup, I was a bit nervous but had the car up to 7500 already (8K redline fuel cut on OBD2). The teg is running rich as hell and also is on stock settings with the ECU. I figured I'd just see how we were running with no tuning...
I was in 2nd at about 3Krpm. He was also in 2nd, not sure where, sounded about the same. He gets on it and leaves me about a half a car back.... I hit VTEC and not much happened... (4500RPM) I then hit about 6Krpm and started reeling him in fast. I shift at 7500 and I was even with him. I then hit that sweet spot of 6K again and pull away like he is standing still. I hit 4th and slow back down.
He was a cool guy, and asked about the car. Then we went our seperate ways further down the road.
BTW: I like MR2s and his was pretty clean.
Now, its time for getting that Hondata and some dyno time... muhahaha...;) :cool:
