hey does anyone know if a 3SGTE will fit directly into a 90'-93' Celica GT? or does there need to be modifications to the engine bay?

 

90-93 came with 5s-fe for some if not all those years. it will fit, mods will have to be made. best would be to see if u can find an all track motor or at least an all track transmission, you might be able to convert to awd, i have since forgotten all the mods needed, definately wiring, diff axles, tranny, mod at least one of the motor mounts i think, have to have custom downpipe and ic piping and intake and usually relocate battery to back or use a small one. there is probably a celica forum that has info on it.

 

It will bolt in. You use the 5SFE front drive trans. Use the three tranny mounts from the 5SFE and the drivers mount from the 3SGTE. You will of course need the harness, ecu, intercooler. You will also need a larger radiator, like one off of an alltrac.
