Finally Metered My Car

Went to Sound Advice Competition on Sunday.. first time metering the car... just couldnt break 150db's.

1st run- 149.5
2nd run 149.7


So close to 150, looks like my roof is getting dynamatted, and a new song needs to be found. Also looks like time to fuck with the amps.


Anyone else there?

No one held my door/hatch. I thought you were allowed to, but no one else was doing it so niether did I. I was listening to a track off of IBP. Unfortunately I lost my good IBP CD so this one had to do.

i went to a show last year before i got my musttang and i hit 151.9db's.........WWWEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

had 2 15" kicker comp VR and a rockford power 500.2 amp pushing 714 watts. the box made all the differance.

it does matter what I've seen/heard because its getting hard to suprise me anymore, not saying your shit sucks or anyhitng, I'm just saying ive been to a damn lot of shows and heard a damn lot of setups. 1 8 in the 115s ? yeah saw it go down.

Okay, how about two tewleves in a civic with less then 1000 watts? Anythhing yet. How about the crazy 8s comps held in the midwest. When you guys have one 15 hitting a 170 dbs on the new meter, that is impressive.(over a 178 on the old meters) Realize every car responds differently to different subs and freqs.

I want to get it metered... just to see what it can do, I am thinking 130db or so but what do I know about anything relating this subject. It sounds decent for what it is... I've heard plenty louder than mine

hmmm, makes me wonder bout my 2-12" CVR Kickers with the 400.1 class D amp, parallel and bridged, 800 watts baby, all kept it tuned with no power fluxs by a 1.5 farad capacitor (even my alt. is sighing) Hope it sounds good in my Sol.....
