wtf happened to my last run on Saturday? DNS? I'm pretty sure I ran 3 times...

Nice job on Sunday! You can now say you've beaten the infamous Jesse Naughton!

Is that M3 the silver convertible? Man...that guy must have been flying!

Well, like I told Jesse, he could have used the ES car and beat my ass. I guess the Turbo would be a lot different with the boost coming on and off and the direct rack & pinion. It was a pretty meaningless finish with Ian out and Kipta going home Saturday night. If Ian and I had any repore he could have lent me a set of Hoosiers for the day and co-drove my car. I never saw the M-3 and he did have great times. I don't know if he was on streets or racing compounds and I really am curious about how he was able to do all of his runs earlier. I mean if his wife just went into labor or he had to catch a plane somewhere, o.k., but otherwise there's not much fairness in that.

Did you get any pics Jaball? I saw you and wOrd ran well and are 1 & 2 for season points now. It looks like all kinds of T.R. guys placed well, actually. SloAccord, flmcoupe, PsuedoRealityX, Carlos (don't know screen name) in the SM Civic, etc.

Next year I hope to have a great set up and the money to "Chateau it" for the weekend.

Heh...funny how that works! I haven't placed higher than 4th in any event this season, but I'm up there in the points! I guess actually showing up counts for something :-)

I dunno why, but I didn't take any pictures...I guess I thought it was a big enough even that it would be covered pretty well... Plus, sitting up in the put boxes was just TOO comfy! Screw standing in the sun when you don't have to!

The deal with the M3 guy is that he had to be at work at like 1pm....some moron at registration said he could get everything done and be gone early....and so it happened. VERY ANNOYING IMO, as I had to wait around both days and get wet packing up. Probably the same putz that said my ES car was illegal.

Ian doesn't run Hoosiers at local events. He was on a very used set of Michelin Sport Cups that came with a set of wheels he bought a couple months back. They suck cold, but get sticky when they get hot. At least at this event as well, Ian was driving/co-driving with Jim Reyenga, a friend of mine from Gainesville. He's driving Ian's car at the Washington D.C. National Tour, so he needed the seat time. They both ran Jim's CS Miata on street tires on Sunday, because of the sway bar issue.

And no offense meant or anything, but I don't think Ian would want to drive your car without the BIG bar and konis....he didn't like his car much until he added that stuff to it. Made it a LOT more controlable.

If Ian shows up to another local with the S2000, find me, and I'll see if I can get you a ride with him. It's a pretty stinkin' cool ride, IMO.:)

Cool. I'd like to feel what an S with the right set up can do. It's obvious by watching that there is much more rear grip and when you do get to the edge of oversteer it is more easily controlled and tucked back in. The Koni's and bar would get it close. The S0-2's aren't bad (very soft for OEM), but my rears are getting pretty hard from the thousands of heat cycles.

I know he wouldn't drive mine. Just the tires would probably hurt more than they helped. Without the big front bar the oversteer would just be accented by sticker tires on all corners, I'd assume.

Anyone want to co-drive an S-2000 for all of the remaining events this year, about 10, and as long as the tires last into next year? Cost is 1/2 a set of Hoosiers ($800 +/-), 1/2 a Saner front bar ($260 +/-), 1/2 a set of Koni yellows ($800 +/-), 1/2 a set of used S2K wheels ($300 +/-), a set of Porterfields.....oh, the exhaust too. Hmmm, not a very good deal. Come on lotto.

oh man who am i kidding no one wants to even ride along much less drive my car lol

i gotta say, though, i'm kind of sad about my results in my last few autocrosses. . . . . i know the car has so much more in it. but i cant seem to maximize that potential. . . :(

Yeah, I'll ride with anyone...

I'll even drive the Accord, if you want me to. I think it'd be cool.
