I dunno why they keep coming out so grainy...But I guess some of them came out okay.

This is one of my favorites. I can't believe I caught it!

Don't know what camera you're using but i have a canon G1. It has an ajustable ASA (or ISO, whatever) "film speed" setting. In the auto mode it will often shoot out doors at 400 ASA which gets very grainy. If you've got such a setting, try setting it to 50 or 100 ASA for bright days.

Okay. I lied. I do know why they're coming out grainy... It's because I'm using a crappy 2mp point and shoot :-)

I think all of CFR-West needs to chip in and buy me a Canon 1Ds :)

Well... I guess that'll do it too.

Jaball77, thanks for the pic. If I get the chance at upcoming events I'll shoot some more of the Electron Blue Si.

Well, thanks. You guys are too nice :-)

We need to get some other TR'ers out to the CFR-West events with cameras! Once you get the hang of pre-focusing and panning with the subject, action shots are pretty easy...Especially at autocross speeds.

I'd love to have some photos of other run groups/classes! Running and working usually only leaves 1 group to shoot...

There are more pictures posted on CFR's solo site - try http://www.cfrsolo2.com/images/index.html
The guy in the Celica is Per ("pronounced Pear like the fruit") Schroeder. He writes for Grassroots Motorsports and is supposed to be trying his hand at a national spot this season. I used to know him years ago when we both lived in Birmingham AL. I never knew if he was fast or not - guess so.

Per already has a few National trophies...never won though. He is one of the only guys who thinks that gen Celica can take GS at Topeka. Should be interesting to see how he does.

maybe you've got too much protection. There's not usually much cover at an autocross.
