What would cause the fuel pressure to drop to 35- 45 under boost? Its a new pump, and pushes 50 @ idle, then down to almost 35 under boost.

Is the regualtor bad or the fuel pump..any ideas?

New fuel pump did not fix what was wrong. I still have the exact same PSI of fuel with the new pump. However I am not getting hugh explosions out the pipe nomore. I am now without any power, you push the pedal down and she barely moves.

I just found I had a check valve inline to fuel regulator, so it runs better now without it, but its still a dog...

its definatly a common problem that can lead to major loss of power. Its caught me more than a few times!

i did notice the timing belt being of center more than normal and said something to you about it, possibly things got caught in the belt and skipped a tooth, did you pinch off the return line? how much pressure are you getting now?

The pressure now goes up to 90 psi, so it did fix the pressure issue, but it a slow turd now. You have to look down to see, if your foot is really on the gas or the brake...lol

Nothing got pinched or slipped, I wasn't kidding when I said I did the timing 10 times. The reason the belt moved over, because the plastic belt cover rubbed it off to the side.

How can you time the cam with out the cover?

This damn car has blown me away with problem after problem.

Thank you for the info, still seems vague, doesn't appear to be accurate to the tooth.

Which direction would be advancing the cam? Forward?

turning the cam clockwise when looking at it from the pass side, with everything else stationary is advancing it
