Testing injector harness

Check the injector signals coming from the power module (or SMEC). They should rise to about 12V when the injector is off and drop close to 0V when the injector is on. If they are out of spec, you may need to replace the power module.


Now reading that above statement, Are they saying Testing with the key on or off?

I pulled #2 injector wire, tested it No voltage with key on or off.
Does the engine need to be running to have voltage @ the harness?

the "pros" use something called a "noid light".. its a little LED type thing that plugs into the harness where the injector goes. You do them 1 at a time, and start the car up doing each one. The LED will flash when the injector should be firing.

No clue where to get them. Probably any tool supply place. Maybe rent at autozone?

What about thier statement above? It seems easy enough to test with voltmeter. Damn I wish someone has done this and could say for sure....

i guess... i havent tried it either. I didnt think they ran 12v though? Could be, who knows. lol
