Bmw Z4..

Does anyone have any stories or a kill on the Z4? I have came up against one on DM but he wasnt in the mood and most likely thought not even worth my time.

Yea I raced one on I75 , i pulled on the hwy and the bimmer swoops past so I get over to the fast lane and get behind it. Then boom nails so i like cool! Hammer it and get up next and then pull by 3 cars or so , so my exit comes up and ilet off the gas , roll the window with my cocky look , and to my suprise a 50-60 yr old woman gives the thunbs up! My cocky look was replaced by a wow look! Cool older woman!

The Z4 is not at all impressive. The 3 litre puts out 220 HP. The 2.5 litre puts out 183 HP. Unless the car is a Z4 Alpina V8 it aint got nothing for the Z28. The Z4 Alpina will be about even with an LT1 car a little less than a match for an LS1. Racing the other vairants would be like clubbing baby seals for most Z28's or Cobras.

Guns it was easy! thats why I was cocky, I just was impressed by the older woman doing a 100 + in mild traffic.

I ran one down by Secret Services. There were 2 guys in the car being all cocky, so I had to stroll on past them in the 4 door econobox. Then they decided they wanted to play some more, this time through a long sweeper...he was driving kinda erratic so I just hung back a little and then backed off as he slid across 2 lanes of traffic trying to exit the turn ;)

the new 350z is slow either way.. both cars are a dissappointment to BMW and Nissan.

the z4 sucks as far as everything but handling (test drives rock)
the 350z im in love with the interior, but honestly, i think they could have done more engine.....seems to be going to all about "looks" and "how much" the car is

I agree they are both weak offerings from both companies and would benefit from stronger motors the z4 3.0 liter inline 6 puts down 225hp and 214lb ft. of torque and there is no alpina version of it - good luck fitting a 4.6 liter V8 in that engine bay--Only the z8 has the alpina package which has a smaller V8 (hence not the 5.0 in the regular z8 because the auto transmission thats in the Alpina cant withstand that much power.) so get it straight
