help quick please!
Does anyone on here knom how to properly set the valve gaps on a 1998 integra LS motor. Everytime we gap them with any gap the car knocks like hell. If there tightened all the way it won't even turn over. there has to be something were missing. Somebody please help.
Are you using the right clearances? Are you turning the motor over counterclockwise? Is the knock your valves or maybe rod bearings? If you want our shop can do them for you.

We have tryed almost every gap size there is. either way the rocker arms are always loose. the only way there not loose is when they are tightened all the way down. we are only adjusting the gap when the cam lobes are up. the problem is is that the car is stuck in my back yard right now and i can't get it anywhere.

OMG JUST STOP RIGHT NOW DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ok whew!!! now first of all if you have'nt already scored or burn't the cam to shit do this:1 set the cam lobes so that they are at the bottom so the valve guide is on the flat part of the cam NOT THE LOBE 2 place feeler gauge between adjuster screw and rocker arm where they meet and tighten just enough so that you can push the gauge between them with out bowing the gauge TAKE YOUR TIME ON EACH ROCKER til its perfect...3 NEVER TOUCH A HONDA AGAIN MUSTANG BOY!!!!!!!!
