That was pretty shitty :(. So you are still planning on coming out to the track day? Hopefully I will make a better showing there as opposed to today. I just couldn't get my launch dialed in in my 2 runs.

I saw your car getting towed away, that sux man. My buddy with the green hatch finally learned to launch better and ran a best of 13.4 at 103 or 104mph. He managed a 2.0 60 ft on one of the runs with just normal street tires. He had fun spanking the mass of Skittles out there!!! Take care -KEVIN-

Was that the hatch with the prelude swap? Nice runs on street tires.

yeah he has a prelude swap on it. this was the first time he has ran it. he still has soem tuning to do on it. he is running an ecu from an automatic so it should be better when he finally gets the right ecu.

Yeah that was him. He has an H22A with cold air intake, header and open exhaust and pulleys. I think that is it. He has an ECU out of an Automatic prelude so it still has some more in it. With the right ecu and tuning, some heavy duty axels and some radials it will move out hard!!! Take care -KEVIN-

i definately was not to impressed with all the srt4s that were down there. i think the fastest one was a 14.2 they are suppose to be 14 flats. some guy that lives up by me bought a helmet cause he was expecting to be in the 13's the quickest he ran was a 15.7 and his wife ran a 14.6.

It's still not too bad for stock. It was my first time running and I ran a 14.85 with a passenger and spare tire. With some practice and just me in the car, hopefully I can get it down to 14.2-14.0. I like my car, but I'm not one to preach about it being the greatest.

were you the kid who raced my friends cavalier a couple of times?

HeHe my Cavalier. The 162,000 mile stock clutched stock motored bald tires and all 2.2L pushrod NA beast was holeshotting SRT-4's all day long!!! I think I have some video of me taking one almost 1/8 mile. Cutting .540 lights was helping also on the start. I can say I have never lost to a Neon yet 60ft. Hell, I will challenge anyone SRT-4 out there on stock tires to a 60ft race in my Cavy. Any takers? Either way, the cars are OK, but suffer huge traction problems with that open diff. The problem is some of the owners think there cars are the resurrection of Christ. Hell, I don't even think the guy with the lightweight 15" rims with Drag radials and some light mods broke 13's. Hey Billy, what happened when you ran the Cobra? I heard them announce you both but couldn't get from my car to see the race. Your car is badass and next time I am in Tampa I want a ride please. Take care -KEVIN-

the one wih the light weight 15 in rims and drag radials was the one that did a 14.2. he said cause it was hot out. it was also hot for holeshot monster in the cavalier. the owners of those cars seemed very arrogaant except for the kid who was there with his friend that raced the cavalier. he was cool. also there was an older guy there who hasd a silver one he was nice and very smart about his car. he knows just like everyone else that you can not launch those cars and get traction. for 20k it is a good car but nowhere as good as the wrx for a little more money.

The guy with the drag radials did a 14.6. It was easy to confuse everyone with all those black SRT 4's out there. We drove down together, that's the only reason I remember his time. I think it was the guy with the beard that ran a 14.2 when he first got there. I was the kid in the black SRT 4 that got waxed by the Cav and the Integra. :D :D Thanks for the kid comment, my birthday is approaching and I was starting to feel over the hill. :D

Take care -KEVIN- Well, I was at the track with the purpose of getting used to the car and that was my first run. I actually got a lot better of a launch then I expected, but still a crappy 1.9 60', but wasn't used to the slightly faster rise in RPM ;) and hit the rev limiter in 1st and when I shifted it dropped out of boost and I had to chug along down the track 'til it started spooling again. Through all that I didn't get passed until just before the finish line...oh well, there is always next time.
