Well on my way south across the Bayside coming from McMullen Booth I spot a black civic hatch, and an RSX-S roll up the onramp from 60. Then I see BMW lights as well. I'm keeping an eye on them, and the hatch nails it in the far right lane (well as much as you can in a civic)....and the RSX-S next to me guns it as well. I let them pull ahead for just a second then downshift to 3rd and nail it... My girl is smiling ear to ear as I walk away from all 3 like they were standing still... no contest...
Then upon arriving at the usual meeting spot we decide to make a run for some of the infamous Circle K Hot chocolate... and as I pull out I spot a black fox body with silver stripes so I pace him for a bit and then pull up aside him and downshift to bring up the revs, so he follows suit... the whole time I'm ready to nail it not knowing what to expect, but the only traffic is a little daewoo behind him, so we make it down to first and ready to run from a stop (only the second time I have ever done that and not a comfortable feeling without other cars behind you). I tell him to call it and he says to go whenever I'm ready (guess he thought he would walk me and give me the hit) I nail it, he hit's it... and by the time I hit the top of second he was at least 5-6 cars back - must have been pretty stock... again no contest :(
Had a few other inconsequential runs... but these were the only one's worth commenting on...
All in all Saturday was more action than I've had in months - since I'm not usually that pro-active about these things - but it was damn fun and a good night!
