For those of you that have not been to a rac like this you should check it out. You never really know what is coming up next at a race like this. From blown Chevettes to turboed full bodied cars they have them all at something like this.

PRO Hot Rod & Muscle Car Nationals to bring PRO 2003 Season Opener to Bradenton Motorsports Park over April 11-12-13, 2003.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. – The PRO Hot Rod & Muscle Car Nationals Series and Bradenton Motorsports Park have come to an agreement to bring the 2003 PRO inaugural season opener to IHRA’s Premier Southeast Facility. The PRO 2003 National Event Tour will enjoy an explosive kickoff at Bradenton Motorsports Park over April 11-13th, 2003.

The PRO-Edelbrock Fastest Street Car Drag Racing Series is widely considered as one of the leading street legal racing series in the country, with over $1.7 million in purse and contingency to be posted over the 2003 PRO national events. During the 2003 season, due to aggressive advertising and promotion, and nationwide ESPN2 television coverage, PRO expects to generate an increase of over 40% in spectator attendance.

ProMedia Events and the PRO Hot Rod & Muscle Car Nationals Series plan to utilize their extensive and aggressive advertising and promotional resources to develop this into one of the largest street legal events in the country.

The PRO season opener at Bradenton Motorsports Park will be a three-day racing event, with test and tune and tech/registration scheduled for Friday, Saturday qualifying, and Sunday eliminations. This event will feature the top street legal drag racers in the country, exhibition jets and funny cars, auto show & shine spectacular, burnout contest, swap meet, and much more. Over 10,000 spectators and 400 hot rods & muscle cars are expected over April 11-13th, 2003

sounds like it might be fun..i'd rather watch streetable insane type cars than fully prepped drag cars that you wont see on the street :)

yeah, but they use "streetable" in a very loose way here..

If they are going to have a Drag Radial class there, keep your eyes open for "Tommy Softshell". :D

I will definitely be at this race. My buddy is actually driving down from Tennessee for this event.
