as the time says, thats all i was able to pull on sunday.

was kinda slow, and i know my car has more in it...but i had terrible launches and only had a 3 other passes. plus i was on stock tire pressure (36-38psi) and they are 13 inch tires.

for those who aren't familiar with my setup, i have a stock b16a in a full interior otherwise stock 92dx hatchback, roughly tuned by matching a fuel map with another b16a.

i think i can run 13.95's with good tires and tuning, all motor b16a.

we'll see...just thought i'd post this to see everyone's reaction...what people thought etc.

reaction time .895
60 foot time: 2.257
1/4 mile: 14.530
mph: 94.83

2.2 60' with crap tires and open diff in a FWD is not bad, but you have no power that is why your trap speed and times are so slow.

i have LSD. also, with 160hp to the wheels or about that much i should run 14.0's with good tires.

drag radials will definitely get me into that range...possibly at 98-99mph.

with a 2.0-2.1 60foot i will get at least 97mph out of my car...maybe more.

i'll know for sure after christmas...when i should have volks and drag radials...

ok 2.2 with an LSD and regular tires is about right in suck a light car. Don't expect more MPH out of you car just because you have a better 60'. It has never made a difference with me.

More HP = Higher MPH through traps.
quicker 60' = better ET via torque

Yeah those are not that bad of times being pretty much stock. I putting down 158hp to the wheels and im trapping 99mph running really low 14's on shitty tires with 2.3 60's. So you will be in the 13's in no time :D

did i see somewhere in that bunch of shit that you had 160 rwhp? why would you actually say that outloud? or type it for the whole world to see, that's just stupid, and god, i just can't fathom only 160 hp. hahahahahahahahaah

i auto-x, drag racing isn't really what i'm interested in...and with a 2200lb car i have plenty of power.

mr. ricerssuckbigass.
you are showing your age and maturity level, please do the rest of us domestics a favor and shut the hell up.
chet, the mph limitation is due to the amount of hp your car has, 60' times will net you better ET.
best of luck.

Plus im not a drag racer I drive the car thats about all. I dont know why im posting this he's just a troll anyways

2.0 60ft

Lucky ass... my best is a 94.79 with that crappy 60ft I'm known for, yet a week ago at the track I ran a 15.3 at 95.2 mph with a 2.5 60'ft. so I know I'm making power now but no traction.

60' times have little to do with MPH (if you spin through the first 60' your MPH will generally be a little higher, but not much).

well, 14's shouldn't be in my future for too much longer. i've spoken to my mom and emergency funds are on their way.

Chet,
I'm confused after reading your dyno and track numbers, because I have a much more stock setup than yourself, with horrid 60 fts and ran slightly better numbers all around. Maybe it was just the heat. When I ran my car it was bone stock with the exception of a home depot cold air intake, and no LSD. Shit even my timing was 2 degrees retarded at 14, rather than the normal 2 degrees advanced @ 18 that I normally run.
Here are my numbers, what do you think?
R/T= .455
60' 2.291
330 6.190
1/8 9.377
MPH 77.36
1000 12.132
1/4 14.476
MPH 95.52

I'm with you, are cars are much more fun through the curves than in a straight line, although they are no slouches:)
PEETH OUT!

I put one together with b16 pistons, 88 crx light, old mickey thompsons slicks and lds posi. last fri night at brayton drags. I beat a 2001 nissan 350 cc with 287 hp and a 2001 wrx with big exhaust and throttle body. Beat them both easy but only turned 14.40 and 96. Both these cars in mags turn 100 to 103 in the 13 teens How come we were so slow. farmer floyd. cschrammeck@aol.com
