What are my options and rough prices if my turbo is toast? I've heard either CMR or the one that used to be named Majestic. Any others that might know rotaries?

CMR is your only option. Majestic is dead.

Charlie @ CMR rocks.

I was told that there is a turbo place where Majestic used to be.

I drove by there a few months ago, and saw Majestic's old signs and stuff. There may be another place there now. I will trust no one but Charlie. =)

I emailed them like last week but they never responded. You know around how much they might charge?

Not sure. Bob's computer may be down. I'll give him a holler and make sure everything's ok.

I just found out that Bob (owner of Extreme Turbo Shop) had Jeff Enslin's upside down pro-mod studebaker run into him at the winternationals a few weeks ago and do about $20k in damage (one Y2k, the intercooler, front strut, custom stainless header, chassis work etc) so he's been a little busy getting it back together. :(

Stock S4 TII. I want a t04B compressor housing and backplate, dynamic thrust collar, heavily ported wastegate and anything else you can do to make it safe for 16psi or greater and put out 300+rwhp. Oh and I want solid boost, don't want it to die out.

I don't think a S4 has a T3 on it to be upgraded to a TO4B. Find out who makes the turbo on your car and what size T25 Garrett, TDO4 Mitsu?? As for safe 300hp thats on your fuel computer more than your turbo I can work that side too...

The turbos from the S4 & S5 are the same really. The S4 has the twin scroll system and the manifold and wastegates are different. Same size turbo though.

Also, I have a larger pump, secondary injectors, and an Apexi S-AFC for fuel. Might be putting in some larger primaries too though.

OK you have the fuel for the power but you still havent told me what turbo is on your car. I have a idea, take it off bring it or send it to me and whatever it is I am sure I could upgrade it for a deal.

One more time...what type of turbo are does a S4 have? Please, anything.... I know what type a RX-7 has and that is the original topic but the S4, what up.

Solar Specialist

An S4 is an 86-88 Rx7(series 4). S5 is 89-91 Rx7(series 5). I am not positive on what the stock turbo is exactly. I think I may be buying a hybrid one, T04B compressor wheel and housing and a P-trim turbine wheel, with a 360 degree thrust bearing. How much would you charge to do that to my stock turbo?

My bad on the whole S4 deal I can upgrade your IHI turbo with a TO4B wheel it will still bolt on and works like a MFer $500.00 with your core.

Solar Specialist

Well the one I am looking at getting is $385 shipped with everything I listed and no core or anything. How much would you charge in the future if I needed it just rebuilt?
