Default Just bought a new bike!

I just put a deposit on this 2012 Monster 1100EVO!

I'm having the dealer install the fender eliminator kit and smoked lens integrated brake/turn signal light. Im picking it up next week!

I'm stoked!

Next item will be to remove the ugly factory mirrors and replace with some CRG lane splitters on the bar ends.

Same bike.

Not really into a type per say, as I bought it to cruise with friends. I have no intention of knee dragging an apex at 100mph and crashing and leaving my wife with a 200+K house to pay for because I was immature.

I might get into it, but it'll be on a track and I'll do it the correct way and start out slow. I've been riding dirtbikes since I was 10 and Im 27 now. My last three dirtbikes were 450R's but this is still A LOT of bike for my first street bike so I'll treat it carefully while I aquaint myself with it. I'll say that I'm glad I waited this long to buy a street bike as had I done this when I was 21 I might not be here typing.

Ride safe!

Ohh God and you bought a new bike. No matter how safe you are with it you'll end up dropping it. Other than that good luck and sweet bike.

Yeah, not really. I buddy of mine never rode a dirt bike in his life, and is really uncoordinated and bought a new 1000rr in 09. He's yet to drop it.

Knock on wood.

I understand that it's easy to panic and drop it but if you don't ride like an asshole, ride defensively, and pick and choose where and when you ride then you will have better odds. This is not a daily driver.

Anyway,haters gonna hate.

everyone crashes. just ride knowing one day you will too, but after you do you learn something thats just incomprehensible till after you wreck. its hard to explain. it sucks riding a bike your afraid to crash cause its to expensive.

buy alot of gear. head to toe.. good heavy stuff for at least the 1st year

Problem is you probably wont drop it while riding it but when you stop. I'm pretty sure a lot of riders on here has dropped their bike at a red light or parking it. It happens when you're least expecting it.

Congratulations, nice bike. I know youve been riding dirt bikes for awhile, but street riding is alot different. I wish you all the luck, always wear your gear.
